Category Manager Retail Services
Indian/ Filipino Nationality ONLY

Role Purpose
• To seek out new business by looking at all relevant benchmarks such as other airports and the High St. and other travel hubs.

• To build relationships that encourages investment in our airport by existing business partners as well as potential new partners.

• To work with peers and the Head of Category on developing the account management model

Main responsibilities:
• Agreeing the annual category budget, delivery of budget specifically Revenue and EBITDA growth.

• Drive organic growth from the category and achieve delivery of agreed annual income targets working with the Head of Category on the key retailer accounts for consistency of approach and outputs.

• Create a model with the rest of the category team and the Insight team that will maximize sales and penetration by creating a great customer experience.

• Develop and implement product strategies to improve merchandising, layout, product range, stock availability and retail operations standards to maximize income and improve the customer experience.

• Monitor the sales and key performance indicators of retailers within the portfolio. Contribute to accurate turnover income forecasting at category, and retailer level and provide reports highlighting variations in performance and action plans to mitigate adverse impacts on delivery of the budget.

• Undertake when requested complex contractual negotiations for rent reviews and lease renewals with current retailers, within the scope of negotiating parameters agreed by the business, such that the company’s income base is protected.

• Develop strong commercial and operational relationships at a senior level with current and potential retailers and their retail operations teams leading to business partnerships that maximize sales. Support the Head of Category and VP Commercial on the key retail accounts.

• Develop in conjunction with the marketing team end–user marketing strategies to protect existing income streams, drive organic growth and deliver expected returns from investment projects.

• Working with the Procurement team to manage a fair and transparent process of letting space

• The Role Holder holds direct primary responsibility for annual operating costs of the Department at the value of XX Dh.
External service provider contracts that are overseen are at the value of XX Dh
The Role Holder directly manages a team of X

Experience, Qualifications and Required Skills
• +5 years experience in airport retail and commercial areas at an international level.

• Broad and thorough understanding of commercial activity and airport operations generally.
Degree level
